AHMET YESEVI UNIVERSITY 100-BED FACULTY OF MEDICINE HOSPITAL

Faculty of Medicine of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Turkic-Kazakh University was established in 1991 in Kentav City under the name of Alternative and Therapeutic Medicine. Over time, it has grown by opening new departments such as General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Human Anatomy and Physiology. Currently, most of the departments are in Turkistan city.

In addition to the main building of the Rectorate, the Faculty of Medicine Hospital, one of the most modern hospitals of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with a capacity of 100 beds, was established on the Turkistan Campus of our university, the budget of which was fully funded by the Republic of Turkey. The hospital building was constructed as a 4-storey building with a total closed area of 13223 m2 and 12224 m2 park and garden area.

A team of 4 people consisting of Deputy Chief Physician, Hospital Manager and Chief Nurse, headed by Op. Dr. Osman Acar, Chief Physician of Kırıkkale High Specialization Hospital, assigned from Turkey for the opening of the hospital, started to work in Turkestan on 16 August 2008 and all preparations for the opening of the hospital were completed in a short time.

Our Faculty of Medicine Hospital started to serve in polyclinics as of 1 December 2008 and in wards as of 15 January 2009. As of 6 April 2009, the operating theatres and intensive care units were opened and started to operate at full capacity. Cooperation protocols were signed with Hacettepe and Gazi Universities in order to meet the needs of the hospital's doctors and other health personnel and to provide their training.

A "Hospital Automation System" was also established in the hospital with the contribution of the Presidency of the Board of Trustees. The Hospital Automation System was designed to dynamically provide KAZAKHSTAN and TURKISH language support at the same time. Thanks to the system, Kazakhstan citizens met with the convenience and quality of life brought by technology in the field of health. With the commissioning of the hospital, which was felt to be a great deficiency in the South Kazakhstan region, the people of the region, especially Turkistan, have gained a modern health centre. Our university hospital, which is highly supported by the Kazakhstan administration, is also the first university hospital in the country.

Our aim; human-centred, patient-oriented, friendly service understanding.

Our aim is to implement the patient-oriented, i.e. human-centred understanding of providing health services, which is implemented all over Turkey by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey and successfully carried out in the 450-bed Kırıkkale High Specialisation Hospital, in this hospital established in Turkistan City.

In addition, dental treatment services are provided by our doctors at the Dental Polyclinic in the Faculty of Dentistry of our University.
